"When checking student's work, avoid using red ink. Instead, use green.Since May 31, teachers who have read his post vowed to ditch ballpens with red ink. Some even shared photos of green ballpens they bought in preparation for the school opening on June 13.
The psychology behind it is simple.
Green is the color of hope which suggests that there can be room for improvement rather than made their work bloody which gave a notion that what they did are errors which can demoralize them.
The use of green would stop the stigma and would surely motivate learners to do better next time."
According to a color psychology website, green is the color of balance, harmony and growth.
"This is a color that has a strong sense of right or wrong, inviting good judgment. It sees both sides of the equation, weighs them up, and then usually takes the moral stand in making appropriate decisions."Green is also "an emotionally positive color, giving us the ability to love and nurture ourselves and others unconditionally," the website posted.
